How to complete your personal profile and get verified

Once signed in, navigate to the Manage Profiles button found on the left-hand panel of your screen, complete sections 2-4, and upload your KYC documents relevant to each section. Please have your KYC documents ready electronically in JPG/JPEG, PNG or PDF format to be uploaded during the Lemonway onboarding process.

It is important to click on Save & Proceed on each section for the system to save your information.

KYC (Know Your Customer) Document Requirements

  • To verify your bank account details on Step 4, you must provide a recent, full-page bank statement or a bank confirmation (proof of account) document dated within the last three (3) months, clearly showing that the account is in your name. Credit card statements are not accepted as official bank statements.
  • As part of the Lemonway onboarding process, and depending on your country of residence, you will be required to take a photo (or photos) of one (1) form of identification.
  • Accepted documents include a valid passport, national ID card (front and back), or driving licence (front and back).
  • Important: The proof of identity document required by Lemonway may differ depending on your country of residence. For example, clients from certain countries can currently only verify their identity using a passport. Uploading the wrong document type will delay the verification process.
  • Please ensure you upload the correct document for your country to avoid processing delays. Additional proof of identity document types may be supported in the future.
  • In some cases, after you have completed the onboarding process, Lemonway will request a proof of address document. Accepted documents include a utility bill, rates and taxes bill, council tax bill, a mobile/internet tax invoice, or a retail account statement.

Submit for Verification

Click on the Submit Profile button on Step 5 to submit your basic information and start the Lemonway online onboarding process. After a few seconds, you’ll be redirected to our payment provider’s platform which will open in the same window. You can save your progress and continue the onboarding process at any time.

As part of the onboarding process, you will need to complete real-time identity verification with our payment provider. This includes a liveness check and must be done using your mobile device. You will be prompted to scan a QR code and continue the verification through a secure link. Submit Profile button will remain active until verification is complete.

Next steps

Please note the verification process can take up to 48-72 hours. This excludes weekends and public holidays.

Our Support Team will provide feedback via email, if necessary, when you need to update your profile. Remember to check your Junk or Spam folder too.

You will receive an automated email once your profile has been verified and a wallet or payment account has been opened for you. Your KYC status will be updated from red to green on the platform.

Once verified, we will review your bank account details, request corrections if needed, or send your details to Lemonway for verification. During this time, you will still be able to fund your wallet by using your own preferred payment provider or bank.
